Rick Tobey

I began my journey in photography as a teenager in the 1960s, learning to develop negatives and create prints the old-fashioned way in my own darkroom. I graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art, concentrating in Ceramic Arts, and also studied at Pratt Institute of Art in New York City during my junior year. Beyond the visual arts, music has been another lifelong passion. I have more than 65 original songs registered with BMI and over 100 recordings available on digital music platforms. Today, I continue performing locally and regionally with my band, Ricky T and the Rockets, while pursuing my love of photography and the arts.
